Abstract:
Dr. Cleveland will summarize the current status of nuclear power and
predictions for the future. He will address means of achieving
competitive economics and overview worldwide development of advanced
Light Water Reactors, Heavy Water Reactors, Gas Cooled Reactors and
Fast Reactors. He will also summarize international initiatives for
innovative nuclear energy systems, and describe expanded
applications of nuclear energy beyond electricity generation. He
will conclude with a brief summary of IAEA’s activities in nuclear
power.
All students and faculty are invited to attend.
UTNE Graduate Students who hold Assistantships or Fellowships are
required to attend in person.
